Saturday In Design is a showcase for the design industry in Singapore. Opening up many design houses to the industry and public.
The theme for this installation was "Air". Our main focus was on bubbles and clouds.
The theme of bubbles was visualized through the use of clear balls "floating" among the room. This created the effect of bubbles filling the entire space.
The space was built around the iconic chair of kokuyo.
The bubbles filled the main entrance of the office and guided guests towards the second floor.
This area brought out the concept of clouds with forms of tracing paper hung from the ceiling, each piece swaying slightly to create the illusion of a cloud ceiling.
The second floor consisted of the cloud ceiling and the bubbles strung around the main office area and the meeting room.
This view was taken from the perspective of coming up the staircase towards the second floor.
This event was held at the Marina Bay under URA and Community Chest. Two of our trees were selected to be created and showcased.
